
PHOTO Ungheni enterprise praised by EU Commissioner for contribution to local economy and bringing Moldova closer to European standards
European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos visited Dulce Plai enterprise in Rădenii Vechi village, Ungheni district, considered a success story in rural entrepreneurship, known for honey, propolis and nutritional bars 'Batonash'. The EU official praised the company's contribution to the local economy and efforts in bringing Moldova closer to European standards.
The visit to Ungheni district continued at Agri-food Hub in Rădenii Vechi, where Kos discussed challenges and development opportunities with farmers.
'The Hub in Rădenii Vechi aims to support local producers in the development, processing and promotion of value-added food products. It contributes to strengthening local businesses and increasing the competitiveness on the market', the EU Delegation to Chișinău said.
Together with President Maia Sandu, Marta Kos inaugurated the European Town and visited EU-supported projects in Ungheni region.
The officials participated in Family Festival, an event that promotes inclusion, love, understanding and care within families.
On this occasion, Marta Kos emphasized that the European Union and the Republic of Moldova share the same fundamental values: human dignity, family, respect, solidarity and care for future generations.
