Head of State congratulated Junior Achievement Moldova team on 30th anniversary
President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu participated today in a ceremony dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the organization Junior Achievement Moldova – part of JA Worldwide network, the largest global organization dedicated to promoting economic, entrepreneurial and financial education among young people.
The head of state congratulated the Junior Achievement Moldova team for the perseverance, innovation and sustainable partnerships developed over the years – both with state institutions and business community, civil society and development partners.
"30 years of activity means, first and foremost, impact. Impact on the lives of hundreds of thousands of children and young people who have benefited and are benefiting from Junior Achievement Moldova programs. Impact in schools, communities, economy. It means a long-term investment in the future of our country," Maia Sandu said.
In her speech, the head of state reiterated the authorities' commitment to supporting economic and entrepreneurial education through public-private partnerships, by supporting startups and social business initiatives, providing young people with more opportunities to assert themselves at home.
Maia Sandu also noted that young people play an important role in our country's EU accession. "You, the young people, will benefit most from this project. But this cannot happen without your contribution. Young people must have an important role in consolidating popular support for the country's European path as well as in implementing transformations in all fields to bring the EU home," noted the head of state.
