
Family Day to be celebrated with range of activities nationwide
International Day of Families will be celebrated across the country on 15 May, with various activities highlighting the essential role of the family in society. An action plan in this regard has been approved by the government.
This year's events will be held under the theme Family Policies for Sustainable Development, focusing on social inclusion, work-life balance and intergenerational solidarity.
Activities are organized by central and local authorities throughout the entire month of May and include round tables, thematic workshops, performances, local-level awareness campaigns and drawing contests.
Among the events planned by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection are Growing Together campaign, Strengthening Family Resilience in the Context of Sustainable Development conference, as well as the themed event Bring Your Child to Work. The Republic of Moldova has been marking the International Day of Families since 2010.
