President: On Family Day, we thank everyone whose love keeps Moldova united
Nothing is stronger than the bond of a family. It is where we learn to love, to forgive, to be patient and to support one another. President Maia Sandu conveyed the message on Family Day.
The head of state thanked everyone whose love keeps Moldova united.
“In the past four years, we have invested in education, health, increasing incomes and allowances—measures that directly help the families in our country. Our efforts have a single purpose: for every family in Moldova to live better and with confidence for tomorrow. Health to all families!” emphasized Maia Sandu.
The Republic of Moldova is marking International Day of Families today. The event is celebrated with a series of activities organized throughout the country. They have been included in an Action Plan approved by the Government on Wednesday.
The document includes over 80 initiatives and actions. These are organized by central and local authorities and will take place until the end of May, including round tables, themed workshops, performances, information campaigns and contests organized locally.
This year, the events will be held under the theme Family Policies for Sustainable Development, focusing on social inclusion, work-life balance, and intergenerational solidarity.
