Modern recreational space to be created nearby MOLDEXPO

The land near the MOLDEXPO International Exhibition Center, where a children's amusement park has earlier operated, will be transformed into a modern recreational space with more sports areas and one gastronomic area. For this purpose, the management of the center today announced the launch of a tender for leasing the spaces.

The acting director of Moldexpo, Zinaida Popa, emphasized that these actions were part of the exhibition center’s development plan.

"We set out to expand and develop this institution, a process we are carrying out in stages. Thus, we would like to announce the launch of a tender for leasing the spaces that will be arranged for distinct activities. The tender will take place on May 11, 2026. It concerns the area known as 'Aventura Parc', where there used to be amusement equipment for children, which had already become dangerous for the safety of people nearby and for those walking there. For this reason, we ruled that this area should be developed," noted Zinaida Popa.

The acting director of Moldexpo encouraged experienced economic agents in the field to participate in the tender.

"I am sure that together we will be able to develop these areas. The actions do not involve cutting down trees – the natural infrastructure will be preserved. We want to capitalize on the arranged spaces. In addition, alongside the areas meant for sports activities, we also plan to create a gastronomic zone. The types of activities to be carried out in these spaces are clearly defined. Therefore, we encourage all economic agents operating in these fields – outdoor activities, padel, pickleball, badminton and pump track activities, as well as gastronomy – to participate in this tender. We count on fruitful cooperation to develop these areas. I very much hope we will reach the stage of implementing these activities and that people will enjoy them," stated Zinaida Popa.

In April last year, Moldexpo announced its intention to transform a 4-hectare plot of land near Valea Morilor Park into a recreational area for the residents and guests of the capital. Presently, on the territory known as 'Aventura Parc,' there are several pieces of amusement equipment for children that have not been operational for many years. Under these conditions, Moldexpo got the right to use the land and prepared an extensive project for arranging the space.
