Companies, non-profit organizations, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as educational institutions from the Republic of Moldova can apply for Zayed Sustainability Prize 2027 competition, which offers awards of up to one million dollars for projects in the field of energy and sustainability.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the program for the 2027 edition has been officially launched, and applications can be submitted until June 2026. The total competition fund is 7.2 million US dollars.
In the "Energy" category, eligible projects are those that focus on the development of clean energy infrastructure, energy efficiency, digitalization of the energy sector, access to reliable energy sources, and the promotion of green technologies.
The winners in each main category will receive funding of one million dollars to scale up and further develop their implemented solutions, while the finalists will be awarded 100,000 dollars each.
The international competition is organized in honor of the former leader of the United Arab Emirates, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and is dedicated to supporting innovative initiatives in the field of sustainable development.
According to the Ministry of Energy, over the 20 years of the program’s existence, projects financed through Zayed Sustainability Prize have impacted more than 400 million people globally, including by expanding access to renewable energy and strengthening climate resilience.
