Spokesperson for Moldovan government says Budget +Plus means investments, not slogans, but real projects
The Budget +Plus means investments, not slogans, but real projects. The spokesman for the government, Daniel Voda, has made statements to this effect. He explained to Exclusiv TV how the economic development and energy support package, recently announced by the cabinet, worked.
Daniel Voda said that the project included additional investments of one billion lei for rural areas, one billion lei for roads, 200 million lei for small- and medium-sized enterprises, 200 million lei for farmers and 200 million lei for the modernization of school canteens.
At the same time, four billion lei will be allocated to offset energy invoices for families, entrepreneurs, schools, kindergartens and hospitals. Another 60 million lei will be invested in young specialists, who will receive an addition of 3,000 lei to their salary at their first job.
Daniel Voda also said that the amount of 100 million lei would be used for implementing ecological projects in villages of Moldova.
“Roads’ rehabilitation in 100 villages, modernization of block courtyards in Chisinau, modern markets and school canteens – for Moldova to develop. (...) Let's have a serious discussion, without labels and hatred. Let's talk about facts, not rumors. Respectfully,” the government's spokesperson added.
The Budget +Plus is the largest financial package ever allocated by the Government of Moldova for investment and economic growth. It was approved by parliament in the first reading earlier this week. Prime Minister Dorin Recean emphasized that the allocation of resources had been possible thanks to support on behalf of the European Union and public service employees, who cooperated with European partners, in order to speed up the transfer of the first installment of the Growth Plan for Moldova and the preparation of the implementation of this budget.
