OSCE prepared to provide assistance in process of withdrawing ammunition from Transnistria's Cobasna depot
Chisinau, 11 September /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Maia Sandu today had a meeting with Head of the OSCE Mission in Moldova Claus Neukirch, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
At the meeting, the PM said the cabinet was open to cooperate with OSCE for the Transnistrian conflict settlement, based on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Moldova.
Also, Maia Sandu said that the identification of an immediate political solution was quite difficult now and a first step would be the removal, in cooperation with the Ukrainian authorities, of corruption and contraband schemes taking place in the region.
For his part, Claus Neukirch said OSCE was prepared to provide assistance in the process of withdrawal of ammunitions from Cobasna.
The policy of small steps was another subject tackled at the meeting. Maia Sandu noted that this strategy can continue, only if it brings concrete results which are to observe the principles of Moldova’s sovereignty.
