Court of Appeal Centre orders restriction of Republican Party “Heart of Moldova” for one year

The Court of Appeal Centre has ordered the restriction of the activity of the Political Party Republican Party “Heart of Moldova” for a period of 12 months. The decision was issued today.

The court upheld the legal action filed by the Ministry of Justice regarding the restriction of the political party’s activity.

The Ministry of Justice’s request was submitted after the Central Electoral Commission and the Intelligence and Security Service notified the institution about reasonable suspicions concerning the lawfulness of the financing of the activity of the Republican Political Party “Heart of Moldova”. According to the court’s decision, the party’s activity will be restricted for a period of one year.

The decision of the Court of Appeal Centre is final and enforceable, but it may be appealed through a recourse within 10 days, in accordance with legal provisions.

The Republican Party “Heart of Moldova” was officially registered on 29 November 2024. Party leader is Irina Vlah, former Bashkan (Governor) of the ATU Gagauzia.
