Among the priorities on the agenda, there are draft laws on the energy sector, drinking water quality and the introduction of new models of passports and travel documents.
The parliament will also discuss the ratification of the Financing Agreement within the Interreg Europe 2021-2027 Programme, as well as agreements with France on social security and with the United Kingdom on the readmission of individuals illegally residing on either country's territory.
At the same time, on 30 April, the lawmakers will consider, in the second reading, legislative initiatives concerning the fight against electoral corruption, the performance evaluation of judges and prosecutors and the establishment of a mechanism for the automatic revaluation of child support pensions. Also, a draft law on declaring the construction of the Balti-Suceava power line a public utility of national interest will be put to vote.
In the first reading, MPs will analyze draft amendments to legislation concerning natural gas, electronic identity, police activity and judicial expertise. The meeting’s agenda also includes initiatives on the liberalization of certain foreign exchange operations, the introduction of a state fee for appeals, as well as providing a fair framework of social protection for war veterans and their families.
Another important point is the examination of the proposal to appoint journalist Vasile Botnaru as a member of the Audiovisual Council.
