Moldelectrica, Ukrenergo signed documents on implementing cross-border capacity allocation mechanism
Moldelectrica state-owned enterprise and Ukraine's national electricity transmission company, NPC Ukrenergo have signed documents on implementation of cross-border capacity allocation mechanism on the border between the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
"This action marks further progress towards the continuous development of the regional electricity market and its alignment with the best European practices in interconnection management," announced Moldelectrica.
The signed documents will be submitted for approval to the regulatory authorities in both countries – ANRE (Republic of Moldova) and НКРЭКП (Ukraine).
By extending the cross-border capacity allocation mechanisms, Moldelectrica announced that it will fully cover the framework segments of interconnection capacity allocations with Ukraine and Romania, thus strengthening Moldova's role in the regional energy architecture.
