Norway appoints defense attaché for Moldova

Norway has appointed Captain of the Naval Forces Sten Richard Larsen as the accredited defense attaché to Moldova.

In the presence of Head of the Embassy Office of the Kingdom of Norway in Chisinau Kamilla Kolshus, the official was introduced to Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii. Attending the meeting was also Deputy Attaché, Lieutenant Colonel Tommy Andre Johansen.

Minister Nosatii congratulated the two representatives on their appointment. He  expressed confidence that their extensive experience would contribute to strengthening the cooperation relationships between the defense institutions of Moldova and Norway.

The official appreciated the openness of the Norwegian side to develop a sustainable bilateral cooperation in the field of defense, in the context of strengthening national resilience to current challenges, as well as aligning it with European values and standards.

During the discussions, the sides addressed subjects regarding the regional security situation, cooperation priorities with external partners at bilateral and multilateral levels, main achievements within the partnership, as well as prospects for deepening the dialogue.
