Over 100 thousand citizens voted abroad
Over 100 thousand citizens of the Republic of Moldova residing abroad voted by 1:30 PM at polling stations opened abroad for the parliamentary elections, according to the real-time voter turnout data published by the Central Electoral Commission.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, lines have formed at some polling stations. Among these are stations opened in Bucharest, Athens, Prague, Rome, Nürnberg, Lisbon, Tel-Aviv.
Many citizens residing abroad came to vote dressed in national clothing and holding the tricolor flag. In some polling stations, voters formed a traditional dance circle.
In total, 301 polling stations have been established abroad for the 2025 elections, of which four are intended for postal voting.
Before noon, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the voting process in the 2025 parliamentary elections is proceeding without incidents.
