Citizens of the Republic of Moldova living abroad are showing remarkable mobilization in the parliamentary elections. Some voters have traveled thousands of kilometers to cast their vote, and queues have formed at some polling stations.
Images released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs show that impressive queues have formed, and remarkable participation has been noted at polling stations in Bucharest, Athens, Prague, Rome, Nuremberg, Lisbon, Tel-Aviv.
“The atmosphere is one of civic responsibility and solidarity, and the effort made by our compatriots to express their choice is worthy of all appreciation. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs thanks all those who take the time to vote and encourages all citizens to participate in the electoral process. Every vote counts. The future of the Republic of Moldova is in our hands!”, the ministry said.
In total, 301 polling stations have been set up abroad for the 2025 elections, of which four are dedicated to postal voting. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the voting process in the 2025 parliamentary elections is proceeding without incidents.
According to the Central Electoral Commission's data, more than 90,000 citizens had voted at polling stations abroad by 1:00 PM.
