Drone detected outside village of north Moldova district

A drone today was detected outside the village of Sofia, northern Drochia district, in the direction of the Lazo settlement.

According to the General Police Inspectorate, the perimeter is secured, and experts from the Technical and Explosives Section are to examine the object.

In the context, law-enforcers remind the population not to approach suspicious objects, not to touch, move, or dismantle them, and to keep a safe distance. Citizens are also urged to immediately notify the Police, by calling the single emergency number 112 and to follow the instructions of law-enforcement bodies till the arrival of specialized teams.

The case is being documented and the circumstances are to be established by the competent authorities.
