
Four settlements disconnected from electricity due to strong wind
Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/- Four settlements in two districts of the country have remained partially disconnected from electricity due to strong wind.
The head of the RED Union Fenosa’s department of foreign relations and communication, Vasile Gribincea, said that it is about 2 settlements in Anenii Noi district and two in Causeni district.
“In the morning, disconnections were recorded mainly in the localities in the centre of the country. At the same time, 400 notices were received from household consumers on electricity cuts. Currently, mobile teams are in the territory to fix defects. There are also 14 wire breaks. The teams have secured places and are working on repairing them,” Gribincea said.
People are urged to bypass electric conductors accidentally falling to the ground or hanging on pillars or trees. “Citizens are urged to mark the site of electrical conductor rupture and secure them until the electricians intervene to restrict the access of people and domestic animals to the risk of electric shock. If any incident, you can inform the electricity supplier on 022-43-11-11”, Gribincea said.
According to data by RED Union Fenosa, during bad weather in 2017, 4 persons died of serious electric shock accidents. At the same time, a person has suffered thermal damage as a result of contact with the live electric wire.
Also, it was recorded four cases of electric shock of domestic animals.
Meteorologists announced today yellow code of wind. At the same time, the yellow code of cold will be valid until tomorrow.
