Moldovan parliament speaker attends festival in central Moldova
Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu today participated in the 'La Vatra Învârtitelor' Festival, organized in the village of Peresecina, central Orhei district. The speaker said that, as long as there are people in our villages who know how to preserve and celebrate traditions, the country would move forward.
'The people of Peresecina have a nice tradition for four years now - the 'La Vatra Învârtitelor' Festival. People meet in the center of the village, sharing Învârtite (kind of cakes), which, in the meantime, have become a local specialty,’’ said Igor Grosu.
The speaker thanked the locals of Peresecina for taking care of Moldova’s traditions.
‘’As long as there are people in our villages who know how to preserve and celebrate traditions, believe in the potential of their localities, the country will move forward. We have no other way. Congratulations to the people of Peresecina for taking care of our traditions and for inspiring,’’ Igor Grosu added.
The 'La Vatra Învârtitelor' Festival, organized in Peresecina, has reached its fourth edition.
