NeuroDiaspora.MD network launched in Chisinau; Moldovan PM urges all professionals to cooperate

Over 500 delegates and 35 international experts have recently assembled in Chisinau for the Congress dedicated to brain health, a major event that marked the launch of the NeuroDiaspora.MD network. This is an initiative aimed at connecting Moldovan professionals in the Diaspora with the medical, academic, and economic systems of Moldova.

Prime Minister Dorin Recean attended the event and emphasized the importance of brain health as a crucial indicator of the modern society’s well-being.

‘’Brain health is a new key indicator of well-being. I urged all Moldovan professionals abroad to collaborate with the Moldovan professionals who remained at home and - together - to provide their time, creativity and experience for the good of the people. Let’s view brain health not as a medical expense, but as a strategic investment in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP): when we invest in brains, we are effectively investing in the future of the entire society,’’ said Dorin Recean.

The Congress was also a platform for cutting-edge medical innovation. Moldovan physicians had the opportunity to apply advanced AI-assisted thrombectomy protocols, while experts from Barcelona, Mainz and Sacramento presented new approaches in post-stroke recovery.

The launch of the NeuroDiaspora.MD network creates the premise for sustainable collaboration between the medical Diaspora and institutions of Moldova. Prime Minister Recean described Moldovan professionals abroad as 'a strategic resource for national development,' capable of turning global intelligence and expertise into a local competitive advantage.

‘’With our people, Moldova can!' Dorin Recean said. He reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting initiatives that place science and health at the center of national development.
