The Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) on June 8-9 is hosting the first edition of the conference on the management of antimicrobials’ use in tuberculosis. The event is dedicated to strengthening measures to combat antimicrobial resistance in tuberculosis.
The meeting is organized by the European network TBnet (Tuberculosis Network European Trials Group), in collaboration with the WHO Regional Office for Europe, USMF Nicolae Testemitanu, the Research Center Borstel – Leibniz Lung Center of Germany and other renowned international partners in the field of public health and tuberculosis control.

The participants will also take part in topic-related workshops and working groups aimed at developing concrete recommendations and interventions, in order to strengthen AMS practices in the countries of the WHO European Region.
The meeting will be attended by representatives of the World Health Organization, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID), the German Center for Infection Research (DZIF), the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, as well as prestigious academic and medical institutions from across Europe.
