Prime Minister: Memorial Easter - day of reflection, tranquility, connection between generations

On these days of Memorial Easter, we turn our thoughts to those who are no longer among us, but who remain alive in our memory and in our hearts. The message was delivered today by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, who highlighted the importance of preserving the connection with our loved ones.

The official emphasized that today is a day of reflection, of tranquility, and of connection between generations – between the past and the present.

“Respect for those who have departed shows the care we have for those beside us. May this day bring you peace, reconciliation, and the strength to move forward with dignity and hope. Christ is Risen!”, noted Alexandru Munteanu.

Orthodox Christians celebrate today Memorial Easter, a day dedicated to commemorating the departed. Believers visit the graves of their loved ones, bring them flowers, priests conduct memorial services, and afterwards relatives offer alms for the souls of the deceased.
