Moldovan President congratulates Rumen Radev on victory in Bulgaria’s elections

President Maia Sandu today sent a congratulatory message to former Bulgarian President Rumen Radev for his victory in Bulgaria’s parliamentary elections.

The head of state highlighted the importance of continuing bilateral cooperation, with a focus on regional prosperity and security.

“I offer my congratulations on the victory achieved by Progressive Bulgaria. I wish to further strengthen our solid partnership with Bulgaria in order to reinforce peace, sovereignty, and prosperity in our region,” Maia Sandu said.

The party Progressive Bulgaria, led by Rumen Radev, won on Sunday the eighth parliamentary election held in Bulgaria in the last five years, obtaining 44.7% of the votes, a share that secures it a majority of at least 130 of the 240 seats in the parliament in Sofia.
