Authorities urge the population to exercise maximum caution in the context of the orange code warning for strong winds, which is currently affecting the capital and more regions of the country.
The State Hydrometeorological Service has issued an orange code warning for strong winds for April 26, 2026. According to forecasts, between 10:00 and 21:00, widespread areas will experience intensifications of northwesterly winds, with gusts of up to 19–24 m/s, and in isolated areas even up to 26 m/s.
The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) warns the population about the increased risks of vegetation fires, falling trees and other dangerous situations, and provides a set of recommendations for preventing incidents.
