Moldova joins Quality Charter for International Haulage Operations
Chisinau, 28 May /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova has joined the Quality Charter for International Haulage Operations, the implementation of which was decided during the International Transport Forum, held in Leipzig, Germany. Transport and Road Infrastructure Minister Vasile Botnari represented Moldova at the event.
Botnari said that the enforcement of the charter’s provisions in Moldova was closely related to the implementation of the new Road Transport Code, which entered into force in late 2014.
„Besides the goal to enhance the quality of road transport internationally, the implementation of the Quality Charter represents an important step in removing restrictions present in the system of multilateral authorizations ECMT (European Conference of Ministers of Transport),” Botnari said.
The International Transport Forum, held on 27-29 May, is a global inter-governmental platform, which brings together delegations from all over the world, government, business representatives, as well as the ones of the scientific community.
