Prime Minister in talks with Italy’s Ambassador
Italy will continue to support the Republic of Moldova in the European integration, modernization of the country and attracting investment into the national economy. Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Chișinău Giuseppe Maria Perricone conveyed the message at a meeting with Prime Minister Vasile Tofan.
A separate topic concerned the development of economic relations and the stimulation of investments in areas such as agriculture, the food industry, tourism and information technology. The presence of more than 1,100 companies with Italian capital already operating in the Republic of Moldova confirms the potential of this cooperation.
Another topic of the meeting focused on development cooperation and the prospect of expanding the presence of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation in the Republic of Moldova. The parties noted the growth of the portfolio of joint projects in key areas such as energy, healthcare and support for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Tofan praised Italy’s constant support for the Republic of Moldova and underlined the importance of deepening bilateral cooperation for the development of the economy, harnessing new opportunities and the advancement of our country on the path of European integration.
