Moldovan PM in Davos says Moldova has chosen to leave gray area of geography, join European efforts to defend democracy, freedom, peace
The importance of cooperation between states to ensure peace, stability and prosperity, as well as the consequences of the Russian Federation's war in Ukraine, has been underlined by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu at a panel dedicated to the state of the economy, in the context of regional and global challenges, held during the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The PM reaffirmed Moldova's commitment to actively contribute to building a strong Europe that ensures sustainable growth for its citizens and respect for human rights.
"Moldova has chosen to leave the gray area of geography and to join European efforts to defend democracy, freedom and peace. We are living proof that European solidarity and shared values can become shields of protection against destabilizing external interference," the prime minister said.
The PM emphasized that solutions to security challenges and energy, economic, and geopolitical pressures cannot come from competition, but from a collective commitment by states and institutions to solve the problems that affect all of humanity.
