Moldovan president to host Bavarian Minister-President

The Presidency of the Republic of Moldova

President Maia Sandu on July 31 will receive at the State Residence Minister-President of the federal state of Bavaria, Markus Söder, on his first visit to Moldova.

Bavaria is Germany’s largest federal state by area and one of the most powerful industrialized economies in Europe, recognized for its automotive industry, advanced technologies and capacity for innovation. The visit takes place, as Moldova strengthens its ties with European Union member states on its path to accession and boosts efforts to attract foreign investments. The cooperation with Bavaria opens important opportunities in this regard, including through the integration of Moldovan companies into Bavarian value chains.

After the meeting, President Maia Sandu and Minister-President Markus Söder will hold a joint press conference, starting from 12:25. Media representatives are invited to the State Residence, 23 Nicolae Iorga Street, between 12:00 and 12:15. Access will be provided based on accreditation.
