Moldovan PM has discussion with Irish counterpart

Prime Minister Vasile Tofan has had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Ireland, Micheál Martin, whose country holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union starting this month.

During the discussion, the Moldovan PM thanked Ireland for its firm support of Moldova’s European path and reiterated the government’s commitment to continue implementing the reforms necessary for accession to the European Union.

The Moldovan prime minister noted that Moldova had recently opened Cluster 6 – “External Relations” and was determined to maintain the current pace of reforms so that, in the coming months, all negotiation clusters are opened.

In conclusion, the officials agreed to continue the bilateral dialogue and the exchange of experience in areas of common interest.
