Head of State participated in National Folklore Festival 'La Nistru la Mărgioară'
President Maia Sandu participated today in National Folklore Festival "La Nistru la Mărgioară," organized in Șerpeni, Anenii Noi. The Head of State congratulated the organizers on the 37th edition and thanked them for the work they have done to continue promoting folk songs and dances, national costumes and ancestral traditions.
"Our folklore is not just a memory of the past - it is the living link between generations, it is the voice through which we tell our story as a nation. I thank those who carry this treasure forward with care, passion, and respect for their roots," President Sandu said.
Held on the eve of the National Costume Day, the festival began with a parade of traditional costumes and continued with a performance prepared by several folk ensembles and dance groups from the country.
The event dedicated to promoting national cultural heritage is organized annually, and participants are awarded for the best artistic performances.
