Adrian Băluțel appointed co-chair of Moldova–EU Parliamentary Association Committee

Adrian Băluțel has been appointed co-chair of Moldova-EU Parliamentary Association Committee (PAC RM-EU), following amendments approved today by Parliament to the membership of several delegations to international and bilateral organizations and to the leadership of parliamentary friendship groups.

At the same time, Radu Marian took over leadership of the Parliament’s delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union, while Olga Ursu was appointed chair of the legislature’s delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Eastern Partnership (EURONEST).

Changes were also made to the leadership of parliamentary friendship groups. MP Iurie Levinschi was appointed chair of the Friendship Group with Ukraine, while MP Roman Roșca became chair of the Friendship Group with Latvia.

The 12th Parliament has 12 delegations to international parliamentary organizations and bilateral parliamentary organizations, as well as 56 parliamentary friendship groups with other states.

According to the procedure, the membership of delegations and groups is established based on the preferences expressed by MPs, while the chairs are appointed in accordance with the principle of proportional representation of political parties in Parliament.
