Foreign Affairs Ministry warns Moldovan citizens about security risks in State of Israel

The Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) of Moldova informs citizens who are currently in, transiting through, or intending to travel to the State of Israel about a potential deterioration of the security situation in the region, against the background of recent developments in the Middle East and increased risks of escalation.

“The Israeli authorities have not introduced additional civil protection measures, but public rocket shelters are available to the population. The situation is characterized by a high degree of volatility and unpredictability, even though the Ben Gurion International Airport is operating as normal. More states have already issued security alerts for their own citizens,” the MAE said.

MAE’s recommendations for citizens of Moldova:

· Avoid non-essential travel to Israel.

· Avoid travel to northern Israel (the border area with Lebanon and Syria), near the Gaza Strip, and to other areas with increased security risk.

· Citizens who are in Israel must exercise maximum caution, strictly follow the instructions of the local authorities and consider the option of leaving the country, depending on how the situation evolves and the availability of commercial flights.

The MAE also recommends identifying rocket shelters in advance, avoiding crowded areas, keeping valid identity documents accessible, and constantly following official information from the Israeli authorities.

Consular assistance

The Embassy of Moldova in Tel Aviv continuously monitors security developments and maintains contact with local authorities and international partners. Citizens may request emergency consular assistance at:

Embassy of Moldova in the State of Israel Phone: +972 52 778 9772 Email: tel-aviv@mfa.gov.md.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry will update this alert depending on the evolution of the security situation in the region, urging citizens to stay vigilant and to follow official recommendations.
