Emergency Service 112 urges citizens to use emergency number responsibly during severe weather conditions
Emergency Service 112 is calling on citizens to use the emergency number responsibly and to dial it exclusively in real situations of danger, in the context of the bad weather conditions forecast for the coming days.
The appeal comes after the State Hydrometeorological Service issued a yellow warning for the period January 30–31, concerning phenomena that can generate risk situations, such as glaze ice and a decrease in the average daily air temperature.
Under these conditions, the authorities warn that, during periods of severe weather, the number of emergency calls can increase significantly. 112 Service representatives emphasize that the efficiency of receiving, processing, and transmitting information to emergency dispatch centers depends directly on the accuracy and clarity of the data provided by callers.
At the same time, citizens are urged to call 112 only in situations that involve an imminent danger to life, health, or property, as unjustified calls can hinder the management of truly urgent cases. The authorities appeal for responsibility and cooperation throughout the duration of the weather warning.
