Around 19 thousand tons of gasoline and diesel imported last week into Moldova

Over 12 thousand tons of diesel and nearly 7 thousand tons of gasoline were imported into the Republic of Moldova during the past week.

According to the Ministry of Energy, the imports were carried out through three border crossing points – the Giurgiulești International Free Port, as well as the Leușeni and Ungheni customs posts.

Under these conditions, as of May 15, existing stocks amount to 18 days of average gasoline consumption, 16 days of diesel consumption, and 15 days of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) consumption.

Car owners are further encouraged by the authorities to use petroleum products rationally and to avoid purchases that are not strictly necessary.
