France to continue to support Moldova in European path and implementing joint projects
The firm support for our country’s European path and implementing reforms that will bring direct benefits to citizens was confirmed by France’s Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness Nicolas Forissier at a meeting with Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu.
The officials praised the close relations of friendship between the two countries and discussed the objectives of the bilateral agenda, focusing on opportunities to develop trade and economic relations and to implement new joint projects involving companies from France and the Republic of Moldova.
To advance cooperation in this area, in March 2026 the largest employers’ federation in France, which brings together companies and trade unions from across the country, will carry out an economic mission to Chișinău. At the same time, trade and investment exchanges between the two countries will continue to be promoted by France-Moldova Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The parties also discussed the activity of the French Development Agency in the Republic of Moldova which, over the past three years, has provided financial support worth 225 million dollars for the implementation of reforms in strategic sectors such as infrastructure, energy security, justice, and support for the business environment.
They also discussed new prospects for cooperation in areas such as green energy, agriculture and information technology sector.
