Moldovan PM has meeting with Romania's President

Prime Minister Vasile Tofan is on his first official visit since taking office, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister, Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Vladimir Bolea and Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu.

In Bucharest, the PM had a meeting with President of Romania Nicusor Dan. The discussions focused on strengthening the relationship between the two states and the priorities of the bilateral cooperation.

“The relationship between Moldova and Romania is based on a trusted partnership and a sincere friendship. We continue working together on concrete projects that bring us closer every day and deliver tangible results for our citizens,” said Prime Minister Vasile Tofan.

The officials discussed the construction of new bridges, the development of connecting infrastructure, the expansion of energy networks and the attraction of investments.

Another topic of the meeting was the European path of Moldova. In the context, Prime Minister Vasile Tofan thanked Romania for its constant support provided to the country in its modernization efforts and its firm backing in advancing the process of European integration.
