ARMENPRESS: VIDEO // Moldovan President arrives in Armenia

President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu has arrived in Armenia to participate in the 8th Summit of the European Political Community, ARMENPRESS reports.

The President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, welcomed President Sandu at Zvartnots Airport.

The 8th Summit of the European Political Community will take place on May 4, 2026, under the theme “Building the Future: Unity and Stability in Europe”.

The summit will bring together European leaders and heads of international organizations at a key moment for shaping and strengthening Europe’s common path. It will serve as an inclusive forum for open dialogue, strategic coordination, and joint reflection on Europe’s priorities, promoting cooperation, mutual understanding, and concrete initiatives to support a more resilient and future‑oriented continent.

The discussions in Yerevan will focus on strengthening democratic resilience, advancing connectivity and reinforcing economic and energy security, as well as addressing evolving security dynamics and regional challenges. Participants will exchange ideas on how closer cooperation and coordinated action can contribute to a more resilient, safer, and more united European area.
