Parliament approved resignation of member of Prosecutor Evaluation Commission
Parliament today approved the resignation of Saskia de Vries, a member of the Prosecutor Evaluation Commission, effective from May 1, 2026. The decision was supported by 54 MPs.
To ensure continuity and the proper conduct of the evaluation process, the international member will, up to the date of her withdrawal, complete the cases for which she was appointed as rapporteur. In addition, the Prosecutor Evaluation Commission has agreed on an internal mechanism for organizing its work, intended to prevent any impact on ongoing evaluations.
Saskia de Vries was appointed by Parliament as a member of the Prosecutor Evaluation Commission in October 2023. She is a retired senior prosecutor from the Netherlands. Throughout her career in the prosecution service, Saskia de Vries coordinated, for more than 20 years, cases related to organized crime and corruption.
