Bomb threat at Eugen Doga Chisinau International Airport; passengers evacuated
A bomb threat today afternoon was reported at Chisinau International Airport “Eugen Doga”, and passengers and staff were evacuated.
According to the Border Police, the intervention took place promptly, and specialized subdivisions of the Interior Ministry (MAI) are present at the scene. Passenger check-in procedures have been suspended and there is a possibility of changes to today’s scheduled flights.
Authorities recommend that travelers with scheduled flights check their status on the airport’s online information board and urge everyone to stay calm.
So far, no additional information has been provided regarding the credibility of the threat or any suspicious objects. Authorities will return with details after the checks are completed.
