Bomb alert on Bucharest - Kiev train fake

The bomb alert on the train from Bucharest to Kiev, exiting from the Republic of Moldova through Vălcineț Border Crossing Point, reported today at around 12:57 PM, turned out to be fake. 

According to the Police, actions outlined in the protocol were immediately initiated following the report, with specialists from the Technical-Explosive Section and the canine directorate intervening on the scene. No suspicious objects, explosive devices, or dangerous substances were found during the checks.

The Border Police announced today that at 12:57 PM, Explosive BRAVO signal was activated at Otaci Border Police Sector, after receiving information regarding the alleged mining of the train located at Vălcineț BCP, exiting the country.

According to data presented by the Border Police, at 12:50 PM, the train's attendant was informed by the Moldovan Railway dispatch at Vălcineț station about the alert previously transmitted. In turn, the train's chief was notified by Ukrzaliznytsia, the Ukrainian Railways, that a male individual had called the hotline and reported a supposed mining of train no. 100, consisting of four carriages.

Authorities state that all competent structures were mobilized to ensure the safety of passengers, railway staff, and infrastructure. The Police continue efforts to establish the circumstances and identify the person who issued the false alert.
