PHOTO // Parliament hosted visits and dialogues with youth and civic organizations this week

Parliament of the Republic of Moldova has hosted several groups of students and representatives of civil society this week, as part of activities dedicated to civic dialogue and education for public engagement.

According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, visitors included students from Alexei Mateevici College, Ștefan cel Mare Police Academy, and Valeriu Bujor College of Criminology, Administration, and Law, students from Vasile Moga Gymnasium in Feștelița village, Ștefan Vodă district, as well as students from Spiridon Vangheli Primary School in Chișinău.

In the context of International Human Rights Day, deputies Gabriela Cuneva and Nicolae Botgros held discussions with representatives of Equity Association, an organization that works in defending the rights of veterans and people with disabilities. Additionally, representatives from Amnesty International had a thematic dialogue with deputy Grigore Novac and members of the parliamentary committee for human rights and interethnic relations.

Moreover, representatives from the Institute for Rural Initiatives (iRi) visited the Parliament, with discussions focusing on the importance of cooperation between authorities and civil society. In other meetings, deputies Ana Calinici, Alexandr Trubca, and Renato Usatîi addressed topics related to citizen involvement in public life, transparency in the decision-making process, and civic responsibility.

In addition to informational activities, young people participated in decorating the Christmas Tree inside the Parliament.

These actions are part of the Parliament's efforts to promote open dialogue with citizens, civic culture, and educational and social initiatives dedicated to young people and educational communities.
