WEATHER // Fog, black ice on roads of Moldova in coming hours; authorities urge drivers, pedestrians to exercise caution

The State Hydrometeorological Service announces predominantly cloudy weather across the entire territory of Moldova. During the night, light precipitation is forecast over large areas, mainly in the form of rain. Meteorologists warn about the formation of fog and light black ice, conditions that may lead to patches of ice on roads and sidewalks.

According to specialists, due to the forecast fog and temperatures that will drop below 0°C, favorable conditions will persist for the boosting and persistence of black ice, which may make road traffic more difficult.

The wind will blow mainly from the southeast, light to moderate. Nighttime minimum temperatures will range between -3 and +2°C, while daytime highs will be between 0 and +5°C.

The authorities recommend that drivers and pedestrians exercise increased caution, especially during night and morning hours, due to the risk of slipping.
