Dumitru Ciorici to hold office of spokesperson for Moldova's government
The position of spokesperson for the government led by Vasile Tofan will be held by Dumitru Ciorici, media manager and journalist. Prime Minister Vasile Tofan made statements to this effect today.
The official emphasized that Dumitru Ciorici has 20 years of experience in the media field and would strengthen the government’s efforts to communicate actively about all actions to be undertaken by the new cabinet.
“I am pleased to announce that the spokesperson for the government of Moldova will be Dumitru Ciorici, media manager and journalist, known for launching more digital media products. Dumitru has 20 years of experience in the field and a very good understanding of the media landscape of Moldova. At the government, we aim to communicate actively about everything we do and I am sure that Dumitru Ciorici is the right person to help me in this area. Dumitru, welcome to the team,” said Vasile Tofan.
Dumitru Ciorici said that he had accepted with honor and responsibility the proposal to become the spokesperson of the new government. According to him, his decision was prompt, because he subscribes to and believes in the reformist ideas proposed by Prime Minister Tofan.
At the same time, Dumitru Ciorici noted that he aims to build a good relationship with media institutions and civil society, which should translate into efficient, accurate and transparent information.
“With great honor and responsibility, I accepted Mr. Tofan’s proposal to be part of his team, as adviser and spokesperson of the government. My decision was prompt, because I subscribe to and believe in the reform ideas proposed by the prime minister. I resonate with his ambition and sincerity in the wish to transform the state into one that is more efficient for citizens and friendlier for the business environment, with the ultimate goal of bringing Moldova even closer to EU living standards, an objective I have also promoted for more than 20 years. I aim to build a good relationship with media institutions and civil society, which should translate into efficient, accurate and transparent information. Mr. Prime Minister, thank you for your trust! You have my assurance that I will give my very best!” said Dumitru Ciorici.
The government led by Vasile Tofan took the oath of office today.
