Marcel Dumbravan put forward for position of chief of Moldova's Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office

The Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP) today conducted the interview examination in the competition for the position of Chief Prosecutor of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (PA). As a result, Marcel Dumbravan was put forward for the office of head of this institution.

The candidates registered in the competition were evaluated by the CSP members, based on rigorous criteria, such as: institutional management concept, professional motivation, critical thinking, clear expression, professional competence, ethics, reputation, managerial skills and resilience to stress.

Following the interviews and the completion of individual evaluation forms, Marcel Dumbravan scored 76.64 points, while Octavian Iachimovschi scored 72.44 points.

Based on the results got and legal provisions, the Superior Council of Prosecutors ruled to propose the candidacy of Marcel Dumbravan to the interim Prosecutor General for appointment as the Chief Prosecutor of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

The competition for this key position is of major importance, in the context of the fight against corruption and the strengthening of the rule of law in Moldova.
