
Parliamentary delegation from Slovenia to pay official visit to Chișinău
A delegation of the Committee for International Relations and European Affairs from the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia is paying an official visit to the Republic of Moldova on June 23-24. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation and support our country's European aspirations.
According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, the delegation is led by Bojan Kekec, the chairman of the Committee for International Relations and European Affairs.
During the visit, Slovenian officials will meet with Speaker Igor Grosu, as well as deputy speaker Doina Gherman, head of the Foreign Policy and European Integration Committee Ina Coșeru, head of the National Security, Defense, and Public Order Committee Lilian Carp, Chairwoman of the Moldovan-Slovenian Parliamentary Friendship Group Mariana Cușnir and deputy head of the Public Administration and Regional Development Committee Petru Frunze.
The visit agenda also includes discussions with Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi.
Additionally, the officials will visit the wastewater treatment plant in the city of Căușeni, which has been modernized over the last two years and now provides access to a modern wastewater and sewage system for the city's inhabitants.
The issues to be discussed during the meetings include deepening Moldovan-Slovenian parliamentary relations, regional development projects, good governance practices, regional security, the electoral process, strengthening democracy, and the European Union enlargement process.
