Moldovan PM conveys message on Easter
Easter comes each time with a special peace and with a light that brings us closer to one another. Let us receive the light of the Resurrection with humility and hope. Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu has conveyed a message to this effect, congratulating Christians on the feast of the Resurrection of the Lord.
The PM emphasized that Easter reminds us what faith means and how important it is to remain humane.
“Easter comes each time with a special peace and with a light that brings us closer to one another. It reminds us what faith means and how important it is to remain humane: with care, with patience, with heart. Around the table, in the family, in the community, we rediscover the simple things that keep us together and give us the strength to move forward,” the official said.
He urged Christians to keep the light of the Resurrection beyond the holidays.
“Let us receive the light of the Resurrection with humility and hope. Let us keep this light beyond the holidays. In the way we speak to one another, in the way we help one another, and in the way we choose to be. I wish you all peace, health and joy! Christ is Risen!” Alexandru Munteanu said.
Orthodox Christians celebrate today Holy Easter, considered the greatest feast of Christianity, which signifies the Resurrection of the Lord.
