PHOTO // Condrița transforms into 'Children's Residence' on 1 June

The state residence in Condrița became a true fairyland today for thousands of children and parents who chose to spend World Children's Day in a festive atmosphere amidst nature. With a varied artistic program and thematic activities for all ages, the event transformed the Residence of the President of the Republic of Moldova into a space dedicated to childhood, joy, and family.

“Thanks to all the children and parents who made Condrița a Children's Residence full of laughter and smiles today! We celebrate childhood and ensure, together, that every child receives love, care, and a future full of opportunities. Every day! Happy Children's Day!” Prime Minister Dorin Recean said.

On 1 June, the presidential residence was open to the public, offering a rich program of cultural-artistic events dedicated to children and parents. The entire territory was divided into several thematic zones:

The 'Bon Appétit' Zone – offered a variety of traditional snacks, such as Moldovan pies, ice cream, cotton candy, and other delicacies;

'Joyful Court' – where children participated in educational workshops, painted, and planted trees;

'Rescue Mission' – children attended demonstrations with special vehicles and technical equipment from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and interacted with police officers, carabinieri, and border police;

'Explorer’s Trail' – offered guided tours through the forest for the whole family;

The workshops of folk craftsmen – where children learned about traditional Moldovan crafts;

'Story Cinema' – a space dedicated to children's film screenings.

The large number of visitors led to a traffic jam on the road to Condrița, with cars parked along extensive sections of the road. Nonetheless, the festive atmosphere prevailed throughout the day.

Children's Day at Condrița proved to be not only a celebration of childhood but also an opportunity to promote family values, traditions, and the importance of caring for future generations.
