The National Police has received a state-of-the-art 3D scanner from Poland. This technology will contribute to modernizing crime scene documentation processes.

The new technology allows for a complete virtual representation of investigated scenes using high-precision laser. This enables police officers to quickly document crime scenes and collect accurate evidence used in judicial procedures.

The use of this equipment reduces the risk of human error and ensures more efficient management of evidence. This initiative is carried out through the external assistance programme Polish-Aid, as part of the international project titled,  Modern Methods of Documenting the Inspection of Disaster or Terrorist Attack Sites Using Laser 3D Scanners.

The project is funded by Poland’s Foreign Affairs Ministry and is implemented by the Polish Police, based in Warsaw. It underlines the strengthening of the strategic partnership between Moldova and Poland in the field of security and forensics, contributing to the development of bilateral cooperation in combating organized crime by enhancing the capabilities of the National Police.
