Value energy compensation provided to entrepreneurs exceeds 65 million lei in Moldova
The entrepreneurs of Moldova during January–June 2025 benefited from compensations totaling 65.2 million lei to cover electricity costs.
The support was provided under the Compensation Program launched by the government of Moldova, with financial support of the European Union.
Throughout the six months of programme’s implementation, the financial resources reached 715 unique beneficiaries.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Doina Nistor said that the results of the first six months proved that the programme addresses a real need for entrepreneurs.
“Together with the European Union, we continue to work to ensure that the support reaches where it is needed: quickly, efficiently, and transparently,” said Doina Nistor.
The programme stays active throughout 2025 and entrepreneurs can submit applications 100 per cent online, either through the EVO application or the MCabinet platform.
The initiative was meant to reduce the financial burden on small and medium enterprises, support the continuity of economic activities and maintain business competitiveness in a context marked by fluctuating energy prices.
Also under this programme, the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) supported farmers with total compensations of 18.74 million lei.
