Moldovan PM in Brussels says assistance received by Moldova on behalf of European partners proof of EU's trust in Moldova's citizens
All the assistance we receive on behalf of our European partners is clear evidence of EU’s trust in the citizens of Moldova and in the path chosen by the government. Prime Minister Dorin Recean has made statements to this effect, during his visit to Brussels in the context of participating in the meeting of the Moldova-EU Association Council.
The PM will have discussions in Brussels with European leaders on Moldova's progress and the concrete steps taken to be prepared for accession by 2028.
During an event organized by Bruegel, the Moldovan prime minister referred to the reforms under implementation by the cabinet in the EU accession process and the Growth Plan for Moldova. According to the PM, this represents an unprecedented financial support of 1.9 billion euros, provided for the modernization of the country and the improvement of citizens' quality of life.
Dorin Recean said that Moldova's European future and the country's development pace depend on Moldovans’ unity and work.
‘’All the aid we receive from our European partners is clear evidence of the EU's trust in the citizens of Moldova and in the path chosen by the government. This is a real opportunity to attract investments and create European living conditions: well-paid jobs, modern roads, kindergartens, schools and hospitals like in any member state. The pace of development depends on us. Moldova's European future depends on our unity and work,’’ emphasized Dorin Recean.
Prime Minister Dorin Recean is on a visit to Brussels on June 3-4, where the ninth meeting of the Moldova-European Union Association Council is held. The discussions will focus on the reform agenda, with emphasis on judicial reform, fighting corruption, strengthening democracy and security. Also, economic cooperation, primarily in the energy sector, will be analyzed.
