Moldovan president condemns incident in Galati, Romania: “Russia is a danger to everyone and must be stopped”

President Maia Sandu has condemned the incident in Galati, where a drone crashed into a residential building and exploded. The head of state stressed that “Russia is a danger to everyone and must be stopped.”

Sandu noted that this incident was yet another proof that “the war of aggression waged by Russia against Ukraine is affecting the entire region and putting human lives at risk.”

“I strongly condemn the Russian drone attack that hit Romanian civilians in their own homes, in Galati. In these moments, we stand in solidarity with Romania, and Europe must stay united and firm in defending peace, security and democratic values,” Maia Sandu said.

A drone involved in bombing infrastructure targets in Ukraine crashed last night in Galati, Romania, causing a fire on the roof of a residential building. Two people were slightly injured and the building was evacuated.
