Moldova's Evaluation Commission to hear two anti-corruption prosecutors
The Prosecutors' Evaluation Commission will hear two prosecutors on December 19. It is about Vitalie Ivanov and Victor Cazacu.
Both hearings will take place at the National Institute of Justice. The subjects of the evaluation have the right to familiarize themselves with the materials of the evaluation file before the hearing. They can also submit additional information and data in written form, as well as provide explanations regarding any doubts communicated by the Commission. During the evaluation procedure, the subjects have the right to be assisted by a lawyer or a trainee lawyer.
Prosecutor Victor Cazacu will be heard again. The first hearing, with his participation, took place on November 7, 2025, and was conducted by Panel B of the Prosecutors' Evaluation Commission. Since the members of Panel B did not meet the necessary unanimity to approve the evaluation report, the latter was submitted to the Commission for consideration. After the materials’ examination, the Commission ruled to organize a repeated hearing, in order to clarify some relevant aspects.
